For as long as I can remember, I have been surrounded by overthinkers. Friends, family, colleagues - all brilliant minds - shackled by the endless loop of their thoughts. It wasn't until I became a professional life coach that I began to see the depth of this challenge.
Many of the clients I worked with seem to face the same frustrations, wanting things to be perfect, questions of what if or maybes, constant self-doubt, uncertainty that they were being understood, you catch the drift? So many times I saw the brilliance of an idea get lost in the fog or over analysis or pause that comes as the desire for the right answer come to the surface. In the chair that I was sitting in it was difficult to watch.
As I worked with these clients, I began to see a pattern. These were not just an isolated cases; overthinking was a silent epidemic affecting more people than just my clients. It was as if I could see this challenge in a completely different light... then I had a revelation. In these overthinkers I saw a huge potential locked in the overthinking. That potential could be unleased with the right insight and reframing.
I realized that my true calling was not just to coach, but to specialize in helping overthinkers.
I could create a safe space for them to untangle their thoughts, silence that inner critic, and take confident steps forward.
Armed with passion and empathy, I immersed myself to understanding the mind of there overthinker. I studied psychology, some neuro-science and planned strategies that are easy to use and help sort things out quickly, along with looking at how to maintain some peace in their life.
Today, my practice is dedicated to coaching overthinkers. I have watched my clients transform their lives. Projects are delivered on time, and anxiety as taken the back seat along with more confidence and personal insight. This is why I do what I do!
